Mining & Aggregate Material Flow Plastic Liners

UHMW liners offer high-performance plastic and rubber solutions engineered to meet the extremely demanding conditions of the mining and material handling industries. These advanced materials consistently outperform traditional metal components, leading to increased efficiency, safety, and reduced operational costs.

UHMW Liners Withstand

Sand • Gravel • Crushed Stone • Limestone • Asphalt • Gypsum • Granite • Lime • Rip Rap • Glass • Cement • Ash • Coal • Sulfur • Grains • Fertilizers • Mulch • Potash • Any Bulk Material

Key Advantages

  • Superior Wear and Abrasion Resistance: Engineered UHMW plastics exhibit exceptional resistance to wear, abrasion, and impact from bulk materials, significantly extending the lifespan of equipment in harsh environments like those found in mining, aggregate processing, bulk materials, fine powders, and conveyor systems.

  • Reduced Friction and Enhanced Flow: With a low coefficient of friction, these materials promote smooth material flow, eliminating common issues such as plugging, arching, ratholing, and erratic flow in chutes, hoppers, and bins. This also reduces wear on mating parts and can minimize or eliminate the need for lubrication.

  • Corrosion and Chemical Resistance: Unlike metals, plastics do not rust and are unaffected by a wide variety of chemicals, acids, and moisture, ensuring reliable performance in dirty, wet, or chemically aggressive environments.

  • Noise Reduction: UHMW components are inherently quieter than metal, contributing to a safer and more pleasant work environment by reducing noise levels in facilities.
  • Reduced Maintenance and Downtime: By extending component life and preventing common material flow issues, these plastics significantly reduce maintenance requirements and costly operational downtime.

  • Durability and Longevity: Properties like non-sparking and high visibility (for certain liners) contribute to a safer working environment. It helps to stamp out the need to lean over guard rails, as well as clean out on running equipment by increased bulk material flow.

Liner Applications

  • Material Flow Enhancement: Liners for truck beds, railcars, hoppers, bins, and chutes prevent material hang-up, promoting efficient discharge of bulk materials like coal, iron ore, limestone, and silica sand.

  • Conveyor Systems: Self-lubricating plastics are used in wear pads, wear strips, belt wipers, various guides, and rollers, eliminating the need for oil-based lubricants and ensuring cleaner, quieter operations.

  • Packaging Equipment: Precision-fabricated plastic components ensure smooth operations for bagging, shrink wrappers, palletizers, and labelers, extending the life of mating parts.

Liner Products

We’ll help you find the right material for your project or material flow needs.

  • Limitless Lining - TIVAR Installation

TIVAR® 88 offers excellent resistance to wear for situations where abrasion is happening. It is a glass filled UHMW-PE mater that is cross linked for enhanced wear.

  • Limitless Lining - TIVAR Installation

TIVAR® 88-2 allows for material to easily glide through. It has the lowest coefficient of friction (C.O.F.) of .08 per QTM test method 55007.

  • Limitless Lining - TIVAR Installation

TIVAR® 88 ESD has anti-static properties to prevent the build up of electrical charges due to dusty materials. It is glass-filled cross-linked ESD grade which allows for low moisture absorption and is static dissipative.

  • Limitless Lining - TIVAR Installation

TIVAR® 88-2 ESD has anti-static properties to prevent the build up of electrical charges due to dusty materials. It is a silicone oil filled UHMW-PE which allows for low moisture absorption and is static dissipative.

  • Limitless Lining - TIVAR Installation

TIVAR® DrySlide is made with an internal lubricant to help lower the surface friction with movement of materials without the oily build up.
